Review: Sierra Nevada Wheat Beer

Sierra Nevada Wheat Beer from Sierra Nevada Brewing Co.
Rating: B-

Pale and slightly cloudy amber appearance, slight lacing and a solid amount of bubbles tracing up inside the glass.

Smells of bread, yeast, citrus and a touch of... spice?

Taste is notable for the hoppy bitterness on the trailing edge, much more so than your typical wheat beer. Lemon undertones.

Mouth feel is very crisp, good carbonation, hops linger in your mouth...

Drinkability isn't especially notable. The citrus makes it a bit more "refreshing" than your usual wheat beer, but at the cost of other characteristics.

SN loves it's hops! Overall a good beer, but too overhopped to be representative of the style. The flavors that usually come out in wheat beers never have a chance in this one.
