Affligem Blond from Brouwerij De Smedt / Brouwerij Affligem
Rating: B+
Appearance: Gold in color, clear, big head with good retention. Some lacing.
Smell: Very typical Belgian Pale Ale kind of aroma: spice, Belgian yeast, faint fruit and alcohol.
Taste: Citrus and some spice, not as "Belgian" tasting as the nose suggests.
Mouthfeel: Medium body, carbonation on the high side.
Drinkability: Drinkable, for sure, and at 7% easier to session than Duvel or La Fin (though not as good, to be sure).
Serving type: bottle
