So, Schlitz was top dog... What happened or didn't happen to have it fall so completely?
In the 1970s, the family decided it wanted heftier returns on its dividends and handed the company over to a trio of bean counters.
The bean counters slashed costs, and in the process, the beer went downhill. Fast.
And so did the company. It all happened quickly -- just a matter of a few years.

It's a sad story! (The Schlitz part, not the whole book...)
Thanx for the info. I still like Schlitz. There's always lessons to be learned and actions not to be repeated. Guess that's why we study the past.
