Duck-Rabbit Wee Heavy Scotch Style Ale from Duck-Rabbit Craft Brewery, The
Rating: B+
Thanks to ipa2xs for sending this one my way in the No Name BIF.
Appearance: Garnet in color, one finger head. Mediocre retention and little lacing.
Smell: Malty, with sweet brown sugar notes and slight smoke. Dark fruits slightly reminiscent of a dubbel.
Taste: Sweet and malty, with a hint of smoke. Some caramel and dark fruits. Very little hops character.
Mouthfeel: Very creamy. Medium body, lightly carbonated.
Drinkability: This isn't my favorite style, but I've been thinking of brewing one soon (smokier than this though) so I was looking forward to trying this one.
Serving type: bottle
