Jackman's American Pale Ale from Left Hand Brewing Company
Rating: B+
Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a SA Boston Lager pint glass.
Appearance: An appealing orange color, clear, decent sized head, moderate lacing.
Smell: Surprisingly sweet, some biscuit & breadiness. Hops not as intense as I was expecting, but present: floral, some citrus.
Taste: More or less matches the aroma profile. Biscuit shows up at the swallow. Hop character is more subdued than I prefer in the style, and more floral than intense citrus. Bitterness is solid.
Mouthfeel: light-medium body, smooth & creamy, good carbonation.
Drinkability: Very drinkable, I was just expecting a bit more hop flavor.
Serving type: bottle
