Maple Nut Brown Ale from Tommyknocker Brewery
Rating: B-
Appearance: deep garnet, very clear, good-sized head with poor retention and little lacing. nice color.
Smell: sweet, molasses, just a hint of maple.
Taste: Pretty sweet, with mostly malt, molasses and slight coffee. Maple shows up more in the finish than anything else, along with a hint of pancake breadiness. Very little hops - the sweetness is balanced by carbonation more so than bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Medium body, prickly carbonation.
Drinkability: Pretty good.
